Mrs. Marcela Mejia is the Secondary Dean of Students, and she also teaches Chemistry to our juniors. Five years ago she moved with her family to South Florida from Bogota, Colombia. She has 16 years of teaching experience and holds a Bachelor of Science and a Masters degree in Biology from Universidad de los Andes in Colombia. Currently she is studying at Florida Atlantic University to obtain her Masters degree in Educational Leadership. Mrs. Mejia has been part of Wellington Christian School faculty since 2001. The Mejias have two daughters - Alejandra, a WCS alumni studying at the University of Chicago and Maria, a senior at WCS. Her passion for teaching is comparable to her passion for tennis (She coaches the WCS varsity tennis team).
