Kristen Castiglione

Kristen is the band director at Wellington Christian School and works with students in grades five through twelve. While growing up in eastern Pennsylvania, she started piano lessons at age seven and later began playing percussion in band.  In high school, she spent most of her time involved with music and decided to pursue that as her career.  Kristen attended Ithaca College and graduated with a Bachelor of Music degree in Piano Performance and Music Education.  She then spent a year traveling with a group called CTI Music Ministries, which took her all across the country and even to Hong Kong for five weeks.  She also met her future husband while touring, and after their year with CTI, they relocated to West Palm Beach.  Kristen has been teaching private music lessons for many years, and has also done a great deal of accompanying and theater free-lance work.  She was married in May 2007, and began teaching at Wellington Christian for the 2007-2008 school year.  She and her husband Nick are very involved with the worship team, youth group, and young adult ministries at their church.  In her spare time, Kristen enjoys traveling, hiking, camping, and anything outdoors.
