GAP Groups

Secondary GAP Groups

The purpose of Wellington Christian School is to nurture and instruct all students to their highest, God-given potential. One of the aspects of this goal is to train students so that they might grow in the knowledge and grace of Jesus Christ under the spiritual direction of a faculty member. To this end chapel and GAP groups seek to foster this spiritual development.

Every student at Wellington Christian School is placed in a GAP group. GAP is an acronym for Growth, Accountability, and Prayer. These small groups meet with a faculty/staff adviser every other week. The more intimate setting of the small group allows students and faculty to discuss issues of faith and life. GAP groups may also process and discuss the issues raised at previous chapel services and apply them to everyday experience. The relationships formed in GAP groups encourage students to support and pray for one another. Serving one another in GAP groups establishes a pattern of service that can be applied to the Wellington Christian School community and the still larger community beyond the school.
