BA in Education – Gustavus Adolphus College
Hello! My name is Aaron Davitch. My family and I have recently moved down from Minneapolis, Minnesota, so that I could teach 6th and 7th grade Bible here at Wellington Christian School. I graduated from Gustavus Adolphus College in 1997 with a Bachelors degree in education. I taught middle school Bible for seven years at an inter-denominational school in Minneapolis. Because of my interest in studying the Bible and Theology, I began a Masters program at Bethel Seminary in 2002. I finished coursework in the summer of 2005 and then briefly went to work in Supply Chain services for a Fortune 500 company – Supervalu/Albertsons - in order to pay back my seminary loans. After a year and a half of being out of teaching, I was itching to get back into the classroom. While searching the web for teaching positions, I found out about Wellington Christian School’s 6th and 7th grade Bible opening. At the end of July, I received a response to the resume I had sent, and within four weeks we were moving into our apartment in Wellington. Since I love to teach Bible, enjoy middle school aged children, agree whole-heartedly with Wellington’s mission statement, and because my family and I were excited to leave the climate of Minnesota, the decision was not terribly difficult!
I have thoroughly enjoyed this school so far. The staff, the students, the families, and the facility are awesome. I sincerely believe God is doing great things at Wellington, and I’m excited to be a part of it.
I will conclude with two verses that capture the passion I have to teach children about the Lord:
